Moto-G is the new trend. But with the advance usage of this phone worldwide, there pops up some problems with the smarter smart phone. Here are the fixes for the common bugs with Moto-G:
Give a first try
When you find an issue with your smart phone, just reboot it. That is switch off your moto G and then restart it. Rebooting is one of the major fixes fro most of the devices. It may seem simple but can solve many issues.
If your issue in not solved even after rebooting, then go to the next step. Test your smart phone in the safe mode. Here are the steps to enter safe mode in Moto G:
- Long press the power button of your phone.
- After this, press on the Power off button.
- When prompted, press the "OK" to enter "Safe Mode".
When you are working in the safe mode, all the third-party applications will stop working. Run in safe mode for few hours, and if you find the smart phone is working fine, then you can conclude that the issue was with a Third Party Application and not your favorite Moto-G ;)
Now let us look on some major bugs that come with Moto-G and their Fixes.
1) Unstable Battery Percentage
1) Unstable Battery Percentage
Sometimes you find the smartphone's battery percentage as unstable. It may be due to any Third Part Applications installed. You can try the Safe Mode approach described above to check this. Get rid of the App to get the issue fixed. The issue not always comes with an app installed. In case the issue is not with a third party app, see the below solution.
The battery percentage may be suddenly changing from 100 to 0 or drain to very less percentage without any usage overnight. In this case, let the battery percentage be 0, and then charge it to 100 percentage. You shall repeat the process until the battery learns calibration and become stable. This can solve your unstable battery issue :)
2) Can't capture Image as the camera is not starting.
This fix is applicable for a preloaded camera App in your smartphone. If the camera app crashed after an update, or is not launching at all after the update, please follow the below steps:
- Go to settings in your Moto-G
- Goto Apps, then Camera
- Hit the "Force Stop" option.
- Clear Cache and data.
If nothing solves the issue, reinstall the app.
You should check the working of the cam in the Safe mode to ensure the bug do not lie with any Third Party App.
3) Speaker sound not working well - not loud or clear

- Toggle through the sound profiles and select the one that best suits your taste.
4) Oops!! the SIM card is not being detected :(
You may sometimes find that your Moto-G is no longer detecting the SIM card after a KitKat update. You should first ensure that the problem is not with the SIM card currently you are using by testing the phone with another SIM. For eg., if you are using a micro SIM card with an adapter so that it will be concerted to a Nano SIM, it will be always better to test with a Nano SIM itself.
If your phone is running in Android Kitkat 4.4, you must turn off your 2G/3G data connection so that the issue will be solved temporarily.
