This article describes how to turn VPN off in iPhone. If you have tried installing any AdBlock software in your iPhone and later changed your mind and went to uninstall it, probably you may have encountered the same issue.
This is because most of the ad block apps block the ads by routing the ad traffic through their VPN server. So activating the app makes the VPN on in your iPhone, and so you are connected to their VPN cloud server. They do this by installing a configuration profile in your iPhone.
The main problem is that even though the app is deactivated or uninstalled, the VPN connection still will be on in your iPhone whenever you connects to the internet.
Even you disable the VPN in the front page of settings in iPhone it gets on automatically.
Follow the below steps to solve this issue:
- Go to Settings:
- Slide down and go to General:
- Slide down, and you will find VPN (connected):
- Note: Even if you try disconnecting, it will be still connecting..( failure again :( ):
- Go to Profile just below VPN in General. Here you will see the configuration profile. Say it is "Enable Adblock" here:
- Go to the profile:
- Delete the Profile.:
- It may ask for your passcode enter it and delete:
Now VPN connection is not more a nightmare for you :)
